When examining Mormon doctrines Mormons are finding conflicts between the Bible and Mormon doctrine. The Mormon Church does not want you to read your bible, look at the context of the writings or to consider the intent of the authors. Have they encouraged your eager study of the Bible or the Bible's original languages of Greek and Hebrew? Of course not. The Mormon Church is not eager to see you to look at the original languages to discover the true meanings of words. They want you dependent on them for explanations to what things mean so they can maintain control over you.
